Since 2006 YouTubeIdol is the webcam pendant to AmericanIdol and related tv-series. YouTube-Users can compete against others in singing karaoke or lip-syncron songs of well known artist. There are always 2 songs competing each other, the clip with the most votes survives and gets into the next round.
Official voting guarantees a fair winning progress. If a song gets enough votes, it will get listed in the all-time Top5 highscore of webcam competitiors.
